FAQ: Financial Aid
home » Frequently Asked Questions » Financial Aid
1. What is the cost of the Professional MBA Program? If financial aid available?
Business school is a significant investment—both in time and money. However, graduates believe that their MBA education was a lifelong investment in their own personal development.
For current rates, please visit the Office of the Bursar's webpage. The primary source of funding for an MBA program is through federal and/or alternative loans and company reimbursement. For loan information, please visit the Department of Student Financial Services at www.fox.temple.edu/sfs.
2. How do I learn about my financing options?
Typically, if you are a domestic or permanent resident, your primary source of funding will be through federal and alternative education loans. International students use alternative loans as their primary source of funding because they are not eligible for federal loans. To learn more about your financial options go to the Student Financial Services Office.
3. What do I need to know about educational loans?
For more information on educational loans please contact the Student Financial Services Office.
4. How are scholarships awarded at Fox?
Most Fox scholarships are awarded on a merit base; relying primarily on GMAT scores and undergraduate GPA.
Award recipients are selected by the Fox School Graduate Admission Committee and are notified after the admission decision is made. No additional application or form is required for consideration.
5. How will I be notified if I am chosen as a recipient of a scholarship?
Scholarship recipients will be notified by mail. The Admissions Committee makes the determination of the recipients.
6. What is the Award Notification Letter?
The Award Notification Letter is the document generated by the Financial Aid Office detailing the loan amounts you are eligible to borrow for your studies.
7. Are credit cards accepted to pay my tuition payments?
Credit cards are accepted for tuition payments. For more information on payment options please go to www.temple.edu/bursar/current/makingpayments.htm.
8. Is an entrance interview required?
Entrance Interviews are required for students who apply for government and private loans. Before a student can receive funding they must complete the entrance interview. The primary purpose of the entrance interview is to help students better understand student loans and give some general information on planning and managing personal finances. The entrance interview explores the different types of student loans, regulations, repayment options and the consequences of default.
