Society for Human Resource Management
Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) members network with professionals and discuss current issues. Recent speakers include a regional director of 264 McDonalds restaurants discussing pay scales and a US Healthcare representative discussing workforce diversity. SHRM emphasizes professional development and networking. SHRM members increase their employment opportunities through internships, a resume book, participation in job search skills workshops, and access to the national SHRM job bank. Other annual activities include field trips, a networking banquet, and community service activities.
