Direct (Billed) Expenses
Students make tuition payments to Temple University at the beginning of each semester, as they progress through the program. The following are fees as of 2006/2007 academic year and may increase slightly for the 07/08 academic year.
Program Costs and Fees
The total cost of attendance for Specialized Degrees will vary depending on the choice of the program. For example, the total cost of a 30-credit MS will be different than the total cost of a 42-credit MS program.
- Program tuition is billed per credit.
- In-state tuition rates for the 2006/2007 academic year is $531/credit.
- Out-of-state tuition rates for the 2006/2007 academic year is $788/credit. - Additional Program fees will vary depending on the number of credits taken per semester. Full time status occurs when students pursue 9 credits of course work or more per semester.
- Full Time MS Program fee is $1000 billed at $500 per semester for 2 semesters.
- Part-time MS Program Fee is $500 billed in first semester
PLEASE NOTE: All international students MUST pursue their specialized degree on a full time basis. Full time status requires students to pursue 9 credits of course work per semester.
Indirect Program Fees and Costs
Indirect (personal) expenses vary from student to student, depending on their choices for accommodation and their individual lifestyle. In addition to the tuition and fees for the program, students can expect to pay $1,500 to $2,000 This estimate is based on previous student feedback generally will include additional expenses including:
- Food
- Utilities
- Books
- Personal Travel
- Miscellaneous personal living expenses
The total cost of the degree includes direct (billed) expenses and indirect expenses, which vary by student. Below are the EXAMPLES of direct and indirect costs for the first year of the program.
