Tokyo Experience
Among the largest and most influential metropolitan regions of Asia, Tokyo is the center of Japanese politics, commerce and economics and is often referred to as the world’s most advanced city. With deep economic investments in the region, it continues to provide the vision and resources for the future of the Pacific Rim. From hiking Mount Fuji to visiting the annual Gion Festival in Kyoto, IMBA students witness the sophisticated culture of Japan that blends ancient heritage with state-of-the-art technology and innovation.
The IMBA experience concludes in Tokyo, Japan with a three week intensive experience. With class lectures and a series of corporate speakers & site visits, this segment provides a framework of exposure to Japanese business and culture. Students meet with senior executives from both local companies and multinational firms operating in Japan, and with representatives of trade groups and embassies. Visits and speakers have included dozens of domestic and multinational companies, a sample of which include: Japan External Trade Organization, Kao Corporation, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Infosys, Mitsubishi, Abbot Labs, US Embassy in Japan.
