Tim Reese

CEO, Parallel Computers Technology

ReeseSerial entrepreneur Tim Reese is a success-driven business and IT executive with a history of driving record levels of revenues, profits and market share.  He is the current CEO of Parallel Computers Technology, a King of Prussia-based company that develops, sells and services patented database cluster software products.

Prior to his leadership at Parallel Computers Technology, Mr. Reese was the President and COO of Xcelis Comunications.  He wrote a five-year business strategy, operational plans and financial models, taking the company through initial startup and early stage growth.  Within three years, revenue had increased from $0 to $1.2 million after an initial round of angel investing of $300,000. 

Mr. Reese has an extensive background in building companies.  He was the President and CEO of Opscale, a strategic consulting group; he co-founded The Standing Stone Group,a high-end provider of integration strategies; and he founded Infotech Services, an application services provider to the healthcare market.  Under his leadership, these Chalfont, PA-based companies grew into successful, high-growth businesses.

Mr. Reese has been the recipient of several awards such as The 40 Under 40 Minority Executive Award (2001) and the subject of a cover story in Philly Tech Edition’s “Where Are They Now”.  He is the President of Temple University Black Alumni Alliance, serves on The Board of Visitors of Temple University’s College of Engineering, and judged The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute’s 8th Annual Business Plan Competition.

Mr. Reese holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Temple University and was a 2000 Fellow at the “eBusiness Institute” of The Fox School of Business and Management.
