Temple League for Entrepreneurial Women Announces Annual Essay Contest
The 2009 Student Essay Competition theme was announced Monday, September 28 by the Temple University League for Entrepreneurial Women. The winning essay will receive $500 cash prize and will be announced at the 10th Annual Women's Entrepreneurship Conference the morning of Tuesday, October 27, 2009. Interested students should respond to the following:
In tough economic times, is entrepreneurship a good option for women? Many of today's most successful companies were born during economic downturns, but starting a new business is not for everyone. What kinds of opportunities do you see in today's economy, and what will it take for women entrepreneurs to be successful? Write an essay expressing your views, and you may win a $500 cash prize from the Temple University League for Entrepreneurial Women.
Rules and regulations are as follows:
- Deadline: Wednesday, October 21, 2009 by 11:59 p.m.
- The essay contest is open to Temple undergraduate, graduate and professional students from all 17 schools and colleges within the University
- Essays should be one page in length, single-spaced using 11 pt. Arial font
- Entries must be emailed to Dr. Susan Mudambi, Fox School of Business at susan.mudambi@temple.edu
