The realities of business management are demonstrated through the many corporate and governmental speakers who address our students in the classroom as well as through networking events organized by the Fox School’s Center for Student Professional Development.
Also, faculty and administration ensure that students are informed of the wealth of speaker engagements open to our students from such organizations as the World Affairs Council, International Chambers of Commerce and professional organizations such as the American Marketing Association and the Society for Human Resources Management.
We create a wide range of opportunities for our students to extend their knowledge of different business subjects by creating different types of events for our students to learn and network. Some events that we conduct are our executive speaker series, networking events (one in the fall and one in the spring), Alumni Conference, and our annual Spring Soiree.

MBA & MS Student Association
The MBA & MS Student Association is very active throughout the year planning various events and activities. Corporate Quizzo, Spring Soiree, and various social gatherings are many of the events you can expect to see during the school year. Check the bulletin board on the 6th floor for upcoming events or visit their website.
Corporate Treks and Networking Opportunities
The Center for Student Professional Development and the MBA Student Association partner on treks that introduce you to opportunities in various sectors. Students take on-site tours of companies and meet with upper-level management and human resources representatives within specific industries or geographic regions. In addition, we sponsor networking nights in both casual and formal settings with alumni and corporate representatives.
Networking Events
Because you are not following the herd and have chosen to follow your specific career path, networking is an essential component to your career leadership. You will use this skill throughout your career. The Fox School organizes many opportunities and events where you can interact with local alumni and working professionals in the area.
Speaker Engagement
You will have the opportunity to hear from alumni and corporate representatives in specific functional fields speak to their career success, the strategies to achieve your goals, and what a day in the life is like for your profession.
Leadership Conference
The Fox School hosts an annual leadership conference for all alumni and current students. The events provides a full day of extensive executive education and networking opportunities. This is a time to reconnect with other alumni and current students in the local area and alumni who have traveled back to the region to share this experience.
Spring Soiree
Take time from your classes at this annual event. Students, staff, and faculty come together for a night of social fun, dancing, and food. The soiree is a time where guests find balance in their work schedules, relaxing and celebrating the new spring season and semester.
