Dr. Connie X. Mao is an Associate Professor of Finance at Temple Universityâs School of Business and Management. She holds a doctorate in Finance from The Johnson School of Management at Cornell University (Ithaca, NY), and a doctorate in Biomedical Science from Cornell University Medical School (New York, NY). Professor Mao is specialized in studying the effect of âagencyâ conflicts on the financing decisions of firms and analyzing how the resolution of these conflicts influences the efficiency of security markets. Her research has been published in several national premier journals including the Journal of Finance and Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis. Professor Mao is a member of the American Finance Association and Financial Management Association.
