Every class day at the Fox EMBA Program is different with lively interaction, guest speakers, rich discussions, lectures, and presentations. The program follows a curriculum structure that is presented below.
Friday
7:30 - 8:00 a.m.
You'll be meeting with your team mates and other members of the cohorts over breakfast as you prepare for the day's classes.
8:00 - 10:30 a.m. - Financial Management
The day begins with an energetic and challenging class on financial management in the enterprise, which could be contrasting the financial performance of two companies of the students’ choice, evaluating capital expenditure alternatives brought to class by a student, or analyzing how the financing of a merger and acquisition affects the return of the investor. Presented by Dr. Jonathon Scott, winner of The Fox School of Business's Leader in Teaching Innovation Award and The Musser Teaching Award.
10:45 a.m. - 2:15 p.m. - Operations Management
Professor Edward Rosenthal, recent author of The Era of Choice: The Ability to Choose and Its Transformation of Contemporary Life, delves into the issues and challenges of managing operations in the enterprise. Professor Rosenthal has extensively published areas of cooperative game theory and mechanism design, as well as in inventory and purchasing theory.
12:00 - 1:00 p.m. - Lunch
Bart Houlihan, President, And1, discusses with Fox EMBA students the start-up challenges and marketing strategy of And1.
2:30- 5:00 p.m. - Marketing
Professor Anthony DiBenedetto, author of New Products Management, 8th edition, presents on the challenges of managing marketing in the enterprise. Professor DiBenedetto serves as Editor in Chief of the Journal of Product Innovation Management, and his most recent publications are in the area of international marketing strategy and new product launch.
5:00 - 7:00 p.m. - Reception
Students mix among the cohorts to discuss the class day, to plan for group work, or just to interact with each other and the faculty.
