Dr. Yuzhao Zhang

Dr. Yuzhao Zhang has been appointed as an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Fox School. Dr. Zhang received his PhD in Finance in May 2008 from the University of California, Los Angeles. He was awarded the UCLA Anderson School’s Center of Finance and Investments Dissertation Fellowship and the UCLA Regents Fellowship. His research examines the relationship between aggregate stock returns and the capital flows to the stock market from contrarian investors, whether the early exercise premium contains information about future underlying returns, and lastly alternative variance estimators for pricing options. Dr. Zhang has a paper under review in the Review of Financial Studies, a top tier journal in Finance, and three working papers. Also, he was a presenter and discussant at the European Finance Association Annual Meeting.
