Terence A. Oliva is a full professor of marketing at Temple University’s Fox School of Business and Management, who has been on the faculty since 1990. He has one the Musser Outstanding Researcher award for the Fox School of Business and Management, and is has won the University level Lindback award for outstanding undergraduate teaching. Prof. Oliva has eclectic research interest and has published in a wide variety of journal including Mgt. Sci, JM, JMR, JCR, AMJ, Org. Sci., AMR, Behv., Sci., J. of Structural Change and Economic Dynamics. His recent research focus has been in Catastrophe Theory applied to the adoption of high technology products. Prof. Oliva has also applied the theory to competitive dynamics, organizational inertia and competitive response, and supply chain issues. He helped develop the GEMCAT & GEMCAT-II programs for estimating catastrophe models.
