Sanat Sarkar has been teaching at Temple University for over 20 years. He has published over fifty articles in a wide variety of statistical areas, many of which have appeared in top-tier journals such as the Annuals of Statistics and the Journal of American Statistical Association, co-edited two volumes, and presented papers at numerous national and international conferences. His research has been funded by NSF (National Science Foundation) and NSA (National Security Agency). He has co-organized a major conference on Multiple Comparisons funded by the NSF and served as member of several international conferences on the same topic. He has supervised fifteen Ph.D. students and served on numerous other dissertation committees. He is fellows of the American Statistical Association and the Institute of Mathematical Statistics, an elected member of the International Statistical Institute. He was awarded the Musser Award for research.
