Dr. Mercedes Delgado

Mercedes Delgado is an Assistant Professor at the Department of General and Strategic Management at the Fox School of Business. Professor Delgado currently serves as Senior Institute Associate at the Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness at Harvard Business School. Before joining Temple University, she completed postdoctoral fellowships at the Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness, and at the NBER’s Innovation Policy and the Economy Group. She received her PhD in Business Economics from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and she was a Visiting Scholar at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Her research focuses on the relationship between industry clusters and the performance of firms, regions, and countries; the agglomeration patterns of innovative firms; and country competitiveness. Professor Delgado has published several articles in The Global Competitiveness Report. She has presented at various regional and national conferences, and has been the recipient of several fellowships.
