Dr. Jayanthi Krishnan joined the Accounting Department in Fall 2000. She has previously taught at Villanova University and Ohio State University. She teaches introductory Financial Accounting and the Senior Seminar in Accounting to undergraduate students and Financial Statement Analysis to MBA students. Her research interests are in the areas of audit quality, corporate governance, industry classifications and their impact on accounting ratios, and the impact of international diversification on auditor decision-making. Her publications appear in a number of journals including The Accounting Review, Contemporary Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting, Auditing, and Finance, Auditing: A Journal of Practice & Theory, and the Asia-Pacific Journal of Accounting and Economics. She has been named to the Fox School Dean's Research Honor Roll, a recipient of the Business Honors Associationâs Teacher of the Year Award, and a two-time recipient of the Beta Alpha Psi Teacher of the Year Award.
