Dr. Francis Hsuan

Dr. Francis Hsuan has been a faculty member in the Department of Statistics at the Fox School for more than 25 years. He received his Ph.D. in Statistics from Cornell University and his B.S. in Physics from the National Taiwan University. Dr. Hsuan teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses. He taught International Executive MBA students at Temple's Tokyo campus in 2005. He was also a visiting scholar at the Harvard School of Public Health from 1998-1999, working on projects related to the analysis of longitudinal categorical data with informative missingness.
In addition to teaching, Dr. Hsuan has been a consultant to companies and government agencies for more than 15 years. He has worked on projects for the U.S. Department of Labor (evaluating the Comprehensive Youth Training Program in Philadelphia) and the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Care Products. His industry consulting experience include Campbell Soup Company, Smith Kline (a predecessor of GSK), Hoerst (a predecessor of Sanofi-Aventis), Sandoz (a predecessor of Novartis), and Pharsight Incorporated (a California-based company which develops and markets integrated products and services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry).
