Associate Professor & Chair of Accounting

Eric Press (Ph.D., Oregon) is an Associate Professor of Accounting at Temple University, where he has taught since 1992. Before that, he was a member of the faculties at Duke, the State University of New York at Buffalo, and Western Washington University. His research explores how accounting numbers are used in lending agreements, the relation between accounting and economic income, and the connection between earnings management and insider trading. His papers have appeared in Accounting Horizons, Contemporary Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, Review of Accounting Studies, and The Accounting Review, as well as other journals. He previously served on the SEC Regulations Committee of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and on the Editorial Board of The Accounting Review.
