A Senior’s Guide for applying to sit for the Pennsylvania CPA Examination

NOW:

  1. Request Official Transcript from Temple University
    1. Go to https://tuportal3.temple.edu/cp/home/displaylogin
    2. Click on the "Student Tools" tab
    3. In Student Tools, select the "Enrollment Verification and Transcripts" link on the right hand side.
    4. Scroll to the bottom and click on "National Clearinghouse Site Main Menu".
    5. Click on “Order or Track a Transcript” and follow the instructions on the screen.
    6. In addition to the on line request it is recommended that you contact the Registrar at 215-204-1131, extension 0, and request that your transcript be sent to NASBA. Call around the date you expect your degree to be posted.
    7. Your transcript MUST come directly from the registrar, so request the registrar to send your official transcript to:
      CPA Examination Services – PA
      PO Box 198469
      Nashville, TN 37219

    8. If you earned credits from another University, you must also contact that University and request an official transcript to be mailed to the above address.

  2. Download the Pennsylvania CPA Examination Application
    1. Go to http://www.nasba.org/
    2. Select “Exams”
    3. Select “CPA Exam”
    4. Click on Pennsylvania
    5. Select the applicable exam (First Time Application for most)
    6. Print the application
       
  3. Read through and complete the application, including references (one must be a CPA). Read the important instructions regarding the Application and Exam fees.    
  4. Develop a study plan.  Consider one of the following review programs:

COMMENCEMENT  DAY:

  1. Mail your completed Pennsylvania CPA Application to:

POST-GRADUATION:

  1. Wait to receive your notice to schedule (NTS) from the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA).  This could take up to six (6) weeks once your official transcript has been received by NTS.
  2. Schedule the examination section(s) of the CPA Exam you applied for in the application:
