Mary Weiss is co-editor of the Risk Management and Insurance Review and associate editor of the Journal of Risk and Insurance. Noted for its empirical rigor, her prolific work on insurance markets, insurance company operations, and international insurance issues appears not only in these two leading publications in her field but also in other top-tier journals, such as the Journal of Business, Management Science, and Journal of Banking and Finance. Dr. Weiss served as the president of the American Risk and Insurance Association (ARIA) in 2007- 2008, is a member of the National Bureau of Economic Research and Risk Theory Society, and has received an award for outstanding research from the Casualty Actuarial Society.
