Rupal D. Patel, Fox BBA '06

Systems and Technology Customer Relations Project Manager, Unisys Corporation

Rupal D. Patel held various leadership positions within the student professional organizations during her entire undergraduate career. Through her leadership at The Fox School of Business, she encouraged her fellow students to not only pursue their professional goals but emphasized to them the importance of becoming involved in community service projects. In May 2006, she graduated cum laude with a BBA in marketing.

As vice president and community service chairperson for the College Council of Presidents, Ms. Patel coordinated six American Red Cross blood drives, several Philadelphia Cares Day events, and numerous food drives for both Project H.O.M.E. and for Katrina victims who relocated to the Philadelphia area. Ms. Patel also coordinated the Children's Book Drive in honor of 2004 Musser award winner James Nevels, chairman of the Philadelphia School Reform Commission and founder and chairman of The Swarthmore Group. The drive benefited the Philadelphia Public School System and collected more than 22,000 books in the fall of 2004.

Ms. Patel's efforts have been recognized throughout her academic career. She was honored with the College Council Community Service Leader Award in 2004, and was named 2002-2003 Officer of the Year for Phi Beta Lambda, the collegiate level of Future Business Leaders of America at The Fox School.

In the spring of 2006, Ms. Patel was also awarded a Diamond Peer Teacher position in the Marketing Department, where she worked closely with a faculty member during the semester, and assisted in the teaching of a college-level marketing class.

Currently, Ms. Patel is working in systems and technology customer relations/marketing services for Unisys.

Through her outstanding leadership, academic achievement and commitment to community service, Ms. Patel is a model of excellence in student leadership.
