Frank G. Scardino, Fox MBA '05
Founder and owner, FreeSpark, LLC
Frank G. Scardino is a results-driven, innovative, and assertive professional with more than 30 years of experience and accomplishments as a business entrepreneur in the executive, financial, operational, sales and marketing arenas. He has organized and formed multiple start-up telecommunications companies during the past two decades.
Mr. Scardino successfully established and managed the sale of a start-up company to a division of General Electric Capital. He serves on various boards, including the Spring Executive Board, AT&T's EPSCS Users Counsel, FreeSpark, LLC, Atlas Communications, Ltd., Enterprise Telecom Services, Ltd., and Union Telephone.
Currently, he is founder and owner of FreeSpark, LLC and founder of Trapeze Communications, a VOIP Company. In the past, he was vice chair and CEO of Enterprise Telecom Services, Ltd.; founder and president, Union Telephone Company; and vice president, Commonwealth Communications, a division of CTEC.
Because of his success and leadership, for three consecutive years, Phone + Magazine ranked Mr. Scardino as one of the "competitive long distance industry's most influential people." He was also honored as one of Sprint's Spotlight Customers, and selected as Temple University's entrepreneur- in-residence. He also received military honors.
Mr. Scardino is a strong supporter of both The Fox School of Business and of Temple University. He spoke at The Fox School's graduation ceremony in 2005. Currently, he serves on the Board of Visitors for The Fox School of Business. He has also been a generous benefactor to the school.
He earned an associate degree in Drafting and Design Technology from Penn State University, a BS in business management from West Chester University, and an MBA in finance from The Fox School of Business.
