Professor Jimmy Weinblatt, Rector, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Beer Sheva , Israel
During his career, Professor Weinblatt has conducted research in international trade, economics of crime, applied macroeconomics, economics of social issues, such as minimum wage, economics of non-profit organizations' government's allocation of resources to social budgets. In recent years he has been involved in a large-scale project on the Palestinian economy and its macroeconomic characteristics with a special emphasis on problems of economic development and trade.
In addition to his extensive list of published books and book chapters, Professor Weinblatt has had much of his research published in scientific journals. Most recently, he has published “A Dynamic Analysis of Fiscal Pressure and Demographic Transition,” in Applied Economics . "Sovereignty and Economic Development from the Luterim to Permanent Arrangment Between Israelies and Palestinians,” in The Economic Quarterly , and “Sovereignty and Development: The Case of Israel and Palestine ,” in Economic Journal .
