Bill directs the Department of Information Technology and provides strategic technology direction for the city, including its cable TV, web presence and e-government strategies by: updating and implementing the strategic IT planning agenda, citywide IT policies, standards and the enterprise architecture; determining the most effective ways of providing IT resources to City departments; setting priorities and guidelines to help City departments prepare their information technology plans and budgets; and, making recommendations to the Mayor and City Council on issues related to IT.
