Title: Information Interoperability and Inter-Agency Collaboration
Mayors and other federal, state, and local government officials are faced with meeting the rigorous challenges of comprehensive security and emergency preparedness while managing limited budgets. Yet communications interoperability between the different agencies is critical for getting the right information to the right people under emergency conditions. In this presentation, Charles Giancarlo will provide an overview of a standards-based framework that provides unprecedented voice interoperability and inter-agency collaboration at a fraction of the cost of radio-only alternatives, without compromising security.
Giancarlo will demonstrate the vision of network-centric emergency response with full communications (voice, video, and data) interoperability between the different agencies. He will also demonstrate how secure collaboration between public sector and private enterprise achieves effective incident management while decreasing overall costs.
