Thomas J. Young, Vice President, Intergraph Solutions Group

 

Thomas J. Young joined the Company in 2002 as Vice President for Intergraph Solutions Group. Mr. Young is responsible for Intergraph Solutions Group Marketing to the governmental and commercial sectors. Mr. Young manages the Integrated Products Division, which sells ruggedized computers; digital video surveillance systems ands sell video analyst systems for analyzing video streams. Mr. Young also manages Intergraph's newly formed Homeland Security and Force Protection business. Before joining Intergraph, Mr. Young was Chief of Staff to U.S. Senator Richard Shelby. While serving in that capacity, he managed 30 employees and five state offices, and oversaw policy development, legislative drafting, constituent services, press relations and campaign activities. Mr. Young also served as Counsel to the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee for many years, and was appointed as an investigator for the Congressional inquiry into Iran / Contra. He was also previously an associate at King & Spalding, where he was a member of the White-Collar Crime Team and conducted corporate investigations.

 

Mr. Young holds a bachelor's in Accounting from the University of South Alabama , a master's of Business from Georgetown University , and a Doctorate in Jurisprudence from the University of Alabama School of Law.
