Art Installation Begins
Saturday, April 11th, 2009It’s Saturday, and it’s rainy and cold. But inside Alter Hall it is bright and bustling with activity. Art installers are hanging paintings, mounting sculpture and trying to find a way to hang a piece that appears too heavy for the walls. Allied Security personnel stand (or sit) guard over paintings waiting their turn. With over 200 pieces on-site, it will be a very busy weekend for the installers.
Art in Alter Hall
Friday, April 10th, 2009There is something very special happeniing in Alter Hall this weekend. Dennis Alter and the Bridgette Mayer Gallery will be loaning the school a collection of over 200 pieces of contemporary art by Philadelphia-area artists. The bulk of the installation will be in public spaces but some of the artwork will also be installed at the entrance to suites and in some conference and collaboration rooms. We are very excited about having such a large collection of artwork loaned to us.
When you return on Monday the installation should be complete. We hope you enjoy our new gallery of artwork … another first for the Fox School of Business and Alter Hall.

Kinetic Sculpture Installed

He takes the concept from its origins … ship pennants displaying their national colors. The constantly moving sculpture fills most of the 32′ high atrium space with flag impressions hand painted by Disney artists on rugged aircraft aluminum of the 192 countries recognized by the United Nations.
