Dr. Howard Keen, assistant professor of finance, today became the first instructor to use our new Capital Markets Room (CMR). While it has all the attributes of other “smart” rooms in Alter Hall, the CMR is a smart room in the “round,” with two monitors per work station, two LCD dislays flanking two projection screens which will feature Fox-customized stock information, and a wide range of financial software (Morningstar, Stocktrak, FTS, and Factset). A Bloomberg terminal is available for students in the TECH Center.

Two students pause to enjoy  a view of Center City from the 7th floor of Alter Hall.  This imposing window wall in the MBA Commons affords a view of the Philadelphia skyline from the Benjamin Franklin Bridge to the Cira Center.

Acoustic Panels for Classrooms

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009

Workers have begun installing fabric wrapped panels in every classroom. These panels, which serve both aesthetic and acoustical roles, are used for noise reduction and reverberation control. Three colors will be used throughout the building, depending on the color scheme of a particular floor; gray, blue, and green.  The room shown below is A 237.
