Capital Markets Room Opens
( Permalink )Dr. Howard Keen, assistant professor of finance, today became the first instructor to use our new Capital Markets Room (CMR). While it has all the attributes of other “smart” rooms in Alter Hall, the CMR is a smart room in the “round,” with two monitors per work station, two LCD dislays flanking two projection screens which will feature Fox-customized stock information, and a wide range of financial software (Morningstar, Stocktrak, FTS, and Factset). A Bloomberg terminal is available for students in the TECH Center.

Does anyone know if we will be able to trade stocks there?

No. It is not a live transaction room, although a newly vetted group of Owl Fund students, will manage a portfolio of funds.

Hello, love the blog, but can’t figure out how to pull your RSS feed. Did you have one?

Students need to be aware that this is not a general use computer lab.
