Preparing to Open
Sunday, December 28th, 2008Your Alter Hall blogger is taking a break until January 5, 2009. By then every office scheduled to movel to Alter Hall will be in place. The first weeks of January will be spent preparing Alter Hall for the term beginning January 20, 2009, at which time the front doors of Alter Hall will open for classes in the new building. Keep watching … I will have more to say and show in the weeks ahead as we begin the countdown to Alter Hall’s opening!
Window Washers
Friday, December 19th, 2008How close are we to completion when window washers are rappelling down the sides of Alter Hall? This photo was taken by Zeke Moctezuma with his new Blackberry Storm (pretty good quality).
The Dean’s Office, PR, Development, Cochran, IGMS and IEI are settled into their new homes. Between now and January 12th, everyone else will join us.
The Red Drum
Tuesday, December 16th, 2008Just in time for the holidays, lights have been installed around the “drum” surrounding the lower level auditorium giving the interior of Alter Hall a warm red glow. This shot is taken from within the Center for Student Professional Development (CSPD) looking towards the Undergraduate Student Lounge overlooking Montgomery Avenue.
Driscoll is rushing to get the whole building certified for occupancy by the end of the week
Moving to Alter Hall
Tuesday, December 9th, 2008Boxes are packed, shelves emptied, and walls are looking pretty bare as the Dean’s Office in Speakman Hall prepares to move to Alter Hall on December 11 and 12. In addition to the Dean’s Office, IGMS, IEI, the Cochran Center, Development and PR will be moving at the same time. If you have questions about who is moving next, write me on the blog.
