13th Street Scaffolding Down

One short week … that’s how long I was away. This morning I returned to a scaffolding- free Alter Hall, a recently installed Jazzman’s Cafe, and a new 13th Street entrance to Speakman Hall. Over the next few days I will show you some of that progress. Below is a view of Alter Hall without scaffolding from the corner of 13th and Montgomery.

If you would like to know a little about what is going on behind the scenes to plan for move-in, the Dean’s office has been showing office suites to department chairs so they can make room assignments, our scheduling coordinator has already booked classrooms for the spring semester, and our special events coordinator is figuring out what new spaces best fit the many luncheons, guest lecturers, and student fairs. My money is on the 7th floor MBA Commons as the most popular event space (see photo below).
