They’re Baaack!
( Permalink )Remember back on August 10, I asked if anyone could identify the unusual shape defined by steel laid that day? Now you have a much clearer picture of what it is. Give it a shot. A Fox School cosmetics/electronics bag to the one who comes closest.

Well, if you are asking for a shape, it clearly looks like an oval, however, if you are asking what the space is or what it was designed for I would say It will be the ceiling of the auditorium/floor of the atrium.

Could it be a rotunda staircase?

Is it the trading room/business simulation center?

That’s not it.

No rotunda but there is a staircase nearby.

Bingo. It is in fact the ceiling of the auditorium and the floor of the 1st floor Student Lounge. The shape is an oval (we’ve taken to calling it “the egg”). Parshwa guessed it might be the simulation lab, which does have an oval soffit in the ceiling but is square overall.
