Rebar, Driving Piles, and Prepping the Foundation

Biddle has begun digging foundation trenches and filling them with rebar (right).Â
Outside the wall of lagging, piles have been drilled and dropped in anticipation of concrete arrival later this week (see video below). The piles are for a water basin to be installed later.
New Construction Phase
Monday, April 2nd, 2007
Anthony Biddle Construction has arrived. Up until now D’Angelo Bros. (no relation) has been responsible for all Alter Hall excavation. They will continue to install piles and connect sewer lines.
Biddle will begin work on the foundation, starting in the southeast corner, digging deeper and pouring footings and walls east and south.
The first concrete truck will arrive Tuesday, April 3rd. This work will take several weeks.
