Now that the shoring or “lagging” is nearly done, crews are digging deeper to accommodate the auditorium and lecture halls to be located on the lower level of Alter Hall. The image at left faces the Student Activity Center at 13th and Montgomery. Picture of the Week
Tuesday, February 20th, 2007
At a recent Open House for Fox Alumni, we unveiled a rendering of the new ALUMNI LOUNGE to be located on the top floor of Alter Hall. The Lounge is viewed as a place for visiting Fox alums to relax, network and access Internet resources while on campus. The Fox Alumni Association is actively seeking donations to equip and name the lounge. Contact Patti Hagel (patti.hagel@temple.edu) if you want to know more, or simply comment on this post and I will get back to you.

About
Friday, February 9th, 2007Alter hall blog spot is A daily/weekly acount of construction progress and other issues related to Alter Hall.
The image at right is an early rendering of Speakman Hall, which was built in 1967. Planning Alter Hall necessitated recreating the process of imagining and planning for Speakman Hall. We found precious few photgraphs from that period. Based on the paucity of documentation surrounding the building of Speakman, we were determined to document EVERYTHING associated with designing, funding, planning, and building Alter Hall, the 200,000 sq ft annex to the current home of the Fox School of Business. This Alter Blog is dedicated to you, the future user or visitor to The New Speakman/Alter Hall Complex. I encourage you to ask questions, offer advice, or just comment on what we have presented on this site.
