What do I do if Banner will not let me add an open section of a class?

Some sections are reserved for a unique population of students. Oftentimes the Section "Restrictions" under Detailed Class Information will indicate for whom the section is reserved.

If you see any of these message you need to:
-Look for another SECTION. Your advisor is unable to register you for these sections.
-Keep checking Banner daily until a section that does not have these restrictions becomes available.

What do I do if I need to register for a course that is closed?

For Business Courses, put your name on the waiting list for the course. Please visit the department office to determine if a waiting list is available.

Continue to check Banner for an available section.

Follow Closed Course Procedures at the start of the semester.
