Advising Appointments
Some reasons students should make appointments with their assigned academic advisor:
- Academic Planning
- Pre-Registration advice
- Course Registration for students on academic warning, probation or dismissal
- Petitions such as financial aid appeals, medical withdrawals, or conditional status
- Progress Report
- Counseling for university referral
- Academic intervention meetings
- Graduation Progress Check
- Anything that requires an in-depth conversation which may require more than 15 minutes.
ON-CALL ADVISOR
An ON-Call Advisor is available Monday through Thursday from 9am to 4pm & Fridays from 1pm to 4pm for sessions that should not exceed 15-minutes, excluding those reasons listed above where an appointment is required. (An On-Call Advisor is only available during the Fall and Spring Semesters)
Some reasons students may see an on-call advisor:
- Withdrawal
- Change/Declaration of Major within the Fox School
- Petition to Overload
- Taking Courses Elsewhere
- Placement Scores
- Review Registration (if student can self-register but needs to double check courses)
- Anything that will take under 15 minutes or is urgent in nature
